20th Home Progress Report

Nicole, our homeowner for 20th home, got to meet all the people behind this initial stage of this home build. She truly felt the love and support of the community coming together as well as these all-family owned businesses moving mountains to get this home build moving along during a difficult time to access resources and labor in construction.

Our 20th home is coming along! This would not be possible without our friends at Woodhaven Lumber & Millwork, Inc. Special thanks to owners David and Alan Robinson for the donation in a year of lumber shortages and raising prices. Juliana Welker from Woodhaven Lumber attended the ceremony and was instrumental in helping to secure the lumber needed for the home. Their generosity is truly appreciated. This house would not be happening without their help and support.

Chap Construction, partnered with us to help frame the house in a record of 3 days.  All three generations of the Laing family came together and worked side by side on the home.Randy Laing, owner of Chap Construction, wanted to give back and help a family in need. Now, Nicole will have a home to raise her family for generations to come. Thank you, Chap Construction, for offering a helping hand to us when we needed it most.

Roofing by Carl’s, a division of Carl’s Fencing, Decking & Home Improvements, donated 100% of roofing materials and labor for our 20th home build.  Carl has been a long-time supporter of our Habitat Homeownership program. Thank you to Carl DelPizzo, Sr. and his team for their generosity.  This roof will provide protection for Nicole and her family for years to come.
