breaking ground on our 24th home build!

On Monday, July 29, our 24th partner family, Isaiah and his family, broke ground on their soon-to-be home in Manitou Park, Berkeley Township! This will be our second home build completed by the end of the year in this community. We are so excited for this deserving family to have an affordable and safe space to call home. We were joined by many sponsors, partners, and town and state officials including,

Lorissa Luciani, New Jersey Department of Community Affairs

Carmen Amato, State Senator

Frank Sadeghi, Ocean County Commissioner

Mike Signorile, Berkeley Township Councilman

Jeff Sagnip, District Director for Congressman Chris Smith

Tom Hayes, New Jersey Natural Gas

Adam Servodio, Wells Fargo

If you were to tell me 4 years ago when I walked into Habitat for a job application that I would be here, I wouldn't believe you. I still can't believe it now. As a kid we would move from apartment to apartment, rental house to rental house, always trying to find a stable place to call home. It was hard to feel like I belonged somewhere. Knowing that my family and I are going to have a place to call home, is the biggest blessing in our lives. Thank you, Habitat, Isaiah, 24th partner family.
