Honoring Our Veterans
On Veterans Day, we honor and celebrate all the men and women who have served our country. We’re especially grateful to highlight a critical home repair project that helped a local veteran, Vinny, with essential home repairs. Vinny has been married to his wife for 17 years, served in the Coast Guard Reserve, and proudly displays memorabilia around his home. He reached out to Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity with concerns about his leaking roof and drafty windows. Our construction staff and volunteers replaced his roof and all 14 of his windows, addressing health and safety issues in the home.
Everyone at Habitat was very professional, nice, and thorough. To have a brand new roof and windows is just amazing. Thank you so much for everything and god bless, Vinny.
A safe, comfortable home is one way we can say “thank you” for our veteran’s incredible sacrifice. We are honored to have the opportunity to serve our veterans through our Critical Home Repair program.
