Northern Ocean Habitat’s Veteran Repair Program helped Don, a 72-year-old Vietnam Veteran that suffered a stroke. All the windows of his mobile home in Toms River had to be screwed shut every winter so that they would stay closed.  He was only able to open one window in the summer because it was too difficult to take all the screws out.  With the help of volunteers and Congressman Andy Kim, all the windows were replaced and Don is now able to enjoy fresh air in his home again.

“I couldn’t open the windows anymore. I had to screw them shut during the winter. It’s not safe. God Bless them for doing this.
