Irene
Irene, a Brick resident, found herself needing to repair broken steps as well as install a ramp for her two adult handicapped children that she cares for. Irene called Northern Ocean Habitat for help. While assessing Irene’s home, our construction team also found that the front door needed to be replaced and the bathroom needed a handicap-accessible shower. Our Habitat faithful volunteers helped to transform Irene’s home to make it handicap-accessible for her and her sons, by building new stairs, replacing the front door, and installing a handicap-accessible shower. The family now has the freedom to move about their home without limitations.
