Late summer of 2020, Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity kept a date with 21 Plus, a nonprofit residential home for special needs adults. Through the Critical Home Repair and Brush with Kindness programs, our core group of volunteers, Bill Dudeck, Arnie Oftedal, and Jeff Dickert, showed up on the beautiful summer day to fix doors, siding, and windows.

“Last year, we power-washed the front of the house,” Arnie said. “It still looks great!” All smiles, resident Margaret, sat at a table with Michelle, a member of the staff, and her housemates sharing a snack. Still making a difference amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the guys socially distanced while working and posed for a quick photo to mark another successful repair for our special residents.
