Reuse, Recycle, ReStore
A good deal for you, your community and the environment.
The Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a nonprofit home improvement store and donation center that sells new and gently used furniture, appliances, home accessories, building materials and more to the public at a fraction of the retail price. Proceeds are used to help build strength, stability, self-reliance and shelter in northern Ocean County.
The Habitat ReStore is not only a good deal for you and your community, but the environment too!
Diverts Waste
After years of weighing products, Habitat has opted for a formula that says $1 in sales = 1.3 pounds of material diverted from landfills. In fiscal year 2016-17, the Northern Ocean Habitat ReStore diverted over 812,398 pounds of reusable furniture, appliances and household goods from landfills. Interested in making a donation? Upcycling
Though often you’ll find new or nearly new items that are ready to use as soon as you get it home, many also scour the Habitat ReStores for items that will be part of their next DIY or upcycle project.
