LAVALLETTE, NJ – On Saturday, September 10, 2016, volunteers, family, friends and supporters of Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity gathered on the Lavallette boardwalk for the first annual Walk to Build. With the sun shining and not a cloud in the sky, participants marched in solidarity for 3 miles to stomp out poverty housing. The walk, kicked-off by Mayor LaCicero, was in conjunction with the annual Lavallette Founder’s Day Celebration. Over $11,000 was raised to benefit affordable housing efforts in the community by Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity.
