Isaiah

23rd homeowner

Growing up, Isaiah never experienced the stability of one place to call home. Frequent moves led him through four different high schools, and at 17, when he became a father, he left school to work multiple jobs to support his family. For a time, he traveled state to state moving furniture with his father, but the constant time away created new challenges. In 2021, Isaiah found steady work at the Northern Ocean Habitat ReStore. What started as just a job became something much more—a place where he built lasting friendships, felt connected to the community, and found consistency for the first time.

By 2022, Isaiah and his partner were raising two sons while living with extended family. Encouraged by Habitat staff, he decided to apply for the homeownership program the following year.

Today, Isaiah and his family are settled into their very own home—a safe, stable foundation where his children can grow, thrive, and finally experience the sense of security he always longed for.
