New Year Resolution? Habitat’s Your Solution!

So often people say at the start of the New Year, “I want to give back this year.” Working with Northern Ocean Habitat is truly giving something back to your community as well as giving something to yourself. Here’s a few ways you can follow through with your New Year’s Resolution with Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity.

Donate Furniture

  • Remodeling, cleaning out, downsizing or just getting organized? Consider donating your excess household goods and building materials to the Northern Ocean ReStore. You’ll get the satisfaction of knowing your donations helped support local families- and didn’t end up in the landfill. And all of your donations are tax-deductible. For businesses, donating to the Northern Ocean ReStore is a great way to move discontinued or excess stock, deal with gently used returns, and show your customers that you care about the environment and your community. Plus, we’ll pick up your donated goods for free, which saves you time and money. Fill out a ReStore pick-up request form here!

Donate Your Vehicle

  • Donating your vehicle to Habitat for Humanity is a great way to support our work. Proceeds from the sale of your donated vehicle will help Habitat families build strength, stability and self-reliance in northern Ocean County. Donate your car, truck, boat, motorcycle, recreational vehicle, trailer, construction equipment or other vehicle in three easy steps!
    1. Go to our online donation wizard or call 1-877-277-4344 to donate by phone.
    2. Provide your vehicle information and contact information.
    3. Schedule your car to be picked up.
We accept almost all vehicles, including cars, trucks, motorcycles, recreational vehicles, boats, snowmobiles, farm equipment, construction equipment and airplanes.

Donate Time

  • The heart of our mission work is volunteerism. Share your time, talents and gifts with us and make a difference in your community. We are best known for engaging people from all walks of life in rolling up their sleeves and lending their hands to our efforts, but you don’t need a hammer to help!
  • Fill out a volunteer application at nohfh.com/volunteer today to schedule your orientation.
