Habitat’s Helping Hands (HHH) is an exclusive monthly giving club supporting Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity’s Critical Home Repair Fund. By joining, members become part of a select group of committed donors whose automatic monthly contributions directly impact our ability to provide essential home repairs to families in need.
Critical Home Repair Fund
As part of our recent strategic planning process, Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity (NOHFH) has identified the need to build a $250,000 reserve fund to support our Critical Home Repair initiatives. This fund will ensure that we have the financial resources necessary to respond to urgent home repair needs, enabling us to continue providing vital services to families in our community. By securing this reserve, we can enhance our ability to plan ahead, respond quickly to emergencies, and maintain the long-term sustainability of our mission to provide decent, affordable housing for all.

Donating your vehicle to Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity is a great way to support our work. Proceeds from the sale of your donated vehicle will help Habitat families build strength, stability and self-reliance in our community.
We accept almost all vehicles, including cars, trucks, motorcycles, recreational vehicles, boats, snowmobiles, farm equipment and construction equipment. Anything that has a title!

How do I donate my car to Northern Ocean Habitat if I live outside of Ocean County?
If you live outside the service area where we build, you can still support our work with your car donation by calling Cars for Homes toll-free at 877.277.4344 and specifying that you wish Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity to benefit from your donation.
What kinds of vehicles can be donated?
We accept almost all vehicles, including cars, trucks, motorcycles, recreational vehicles, boats, snowmobiles, farm equipment and construction equipment. If you want to donate your car or truck, please go to our donation wizard. If you want to donate any other type of vehicle, please call us at 1-877-277-4344.
Are there tax benefits to donating my vehicle?
What paperwork do I need to donate my car to charity in New Jersey?
New Jersey will require a Certificate of Title in order to donate your car. To complete your car donation, transfer your title by entering the name of the agency that processes our car donations, ADVANCED REMARKETING SERVICES, in the buyer/purchaser field. Then, PRINT and SIGN your name in the seller/owner field EXACTLY as it appears at the top of the title.

In memory, in honor, or special occasions
Make a secure online donation by clicking HERE or download and complete our donation form. You can select what the gift is for, whether it’s a gift in honor of or memory of someone, or for a special occasion like a birthday, holiday, or wedding. If you’d like us to send a card in the mail to a recipient, make sure to check that box and fill in the recipient’s information. You can even include a personalized message for the card. We will send a Habitat card to the recipient, and a gift receipt to you.

In Kind Donations
In-Kind gifts are just as important as monetary ones.
What are In-Kind Contributions?
- Goods, like computers, software, new building material, and office equipment
- Services, like meeting space, marketing materials and administrative/financial support
- Expertise, like legal, tax, or business advice; marketing and strategic planning
In-Kind Donations of Building Materials and Subcontractor Services
Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity accepts NEW building materials. This material may be used on new home builds or in our home repair program. Material may also be sold in our ReStore with proceeds going to fund Habitat homes. We also have a need for professional services required on Habitat work sites such as masonry, HVAC installation, electrical wiring, plumbing and other services.
Matching Gifts
If your employer has a matching gift program you can double the impact of your donation.
